United States

Higher education system in the USA is one of the most multifaceted and sophisticated in the world. It is one of the most coveted destinations for students who want to acquire international education. A variety of subjects and specialisations, creative study environment and independent research – these are key advantages of getting education in the USA.

There is a plenty of options for undergraduate students: community colleges, public and private universities. Community colleges offer a professional Associate degree gained after the completion of 2 years’ course. Students can then proceed with the third year of a Bachelor of Arts.

Students usually enter a Bachelor’s study programme after graduating from a high school and passing the SAT or ACT tests. International students need to pass these tests, which are also available at language schools outside the USA. A high TOEFL test score is also a prerequisite to applying to any college in the USA.

Educational institutions offer a standard four-year Bachelor’s programme.  Reputable universities also provide Master’s degrees and research programmes, though there is a vast range of acclaimed private colleges and schools. Entering a Master’s degree programme requires satisfactory results of such tests as GRE, GMAT or MCAT.
